What a time to be alive. I would never have imagined a time where the Church could not gather, and yet we have everything we need to continue to connect in this digital age. But what about the congregations without a worship leader? Or who can’t afford streaming licenses and gear to broadcast musical worship? I was burdened to do something for those churches. That’s where Digital Church Worship was born.
I’m dreaming for the day that this is no longer necessary, even as I’m filming the first few gatherings. Yet, we have to be open to the reality that this is our new normal for the time being and there are too many Christians unable to sing together. We have a valuable opportunity to bring the Church together in a unique way and I’m excited about what sort of new life could be breathed back into the Church. DCW is my way of supporting the adaptations needed for the churches who don’t have the means to gather virtually, and hopefully unifying a lot of believers together who have maybe been forsaking gathering together for a long time.
DCW is a free option for churches who can’t afford CCLI streaming licensing (or just can’t figure it out). We’ll be singing solely public domain songs and songs written by my friends and I that don’t need licensing. I’ll be premiering these videos on Sundays on my Instagram and Facebook, and will be available for playback there as well as on YouTube, but they will also be available for free on my website to download and splice together with prerecorded sermons. It’s simple- just my guitar and me- but I think this can be powerful!
If you’d like to support what I’m doing financially, you can find that option on the DCW page on my website. If you don’t have those means, then don’t worry about it. Pretty simple, right? My prayer is that the Lord would be blessed by believers unified in worship every Sunday morning, and that believers would be blessed by music that worships the Lord!

Kevin McClure has been leading worship in the local church for over 10 years in different capacities of student and adult ministries. As a songwriter, musical artist, and worship leader he has had the honor of touring the United States both as a performer and worship leader over the better part of the last decade. With a heart to see believers learn how to take the act of worship beyond the setting of a group gathering, Kevin is incredibly intentional with his time on and offstage to help teach the practice of worship as a lifestyle. Kevin lives in Omaha, Nebraska with his bride Hailey and his two daughters, Everleigh (9) and Eliska (3). His favorite food is coffee (lifesource), loves bonfires, and is convinced that Jesus is a Chicago Cubs fan.
